My name is Bob Krause, I am a happily married to my wife of 20 years DeAnna, and a proud dad of 3 awesome children. Lately I feel like I am going through some sort of mid- life crises or something, not the one of those where I buy a new sports car, its more of an inner desire to prove to myself that I am not going to just end up working my life away then one day end up asking myself the proverbial question of, “what have I done with my life?”

My side kick for this adventure is my 17 year old son Ryan. He’s going off to college soon and before he leaves we wanted to do something that we would never forget. I think we came up with something that will help us do that. It’s always fun and games and we still struggle with the typical father son communication stuff as all fathers and sons do, but overall we do pretty good with each other. He is everything a dad could ask for in a kid.

He, like me has a love for the outdoors and was raised in the water. So much so that this last December we both converged mid day at La Jolla cove and rode some huge 20-25' waves together and all the years of training paid off and Ryan was fearless. He's a senior this year at Rancho Bernardo High School in San Diego, plays Water polo and is a nationally ranked swimmer on the swim team with his friends, or his "bros" as he likes to call them. He is a natural at everything he does and picks up sports really quick, but I think that the Push is going to challenge us in a way we never knew possible, both mentally and physically.

The whole idea of the Push started when we were both driving back from a fun day of riding ATV’s and dirt bikes in the desert. The conversation was about how lucky we are to live in southern California and all the cool things you can do living around here. We talked about how fun it would be to go surfing in the morning, ride motorcycles in the dessert during the day, and then hit the slopes at night. It sounded like fun, but who would really do such a thing?

So after thinking this through with my lifelong 4th grade buddy Randy Knox, Ryan and I have decided to do something that we think has never been done before. We're going to attempt doing 25 extreme sports back to back and non stop in 18 hours or less, and do it all over Southern California.

So here’s to life and the eternal pursuit of happiness! We hope that maybe somehow the concept of Push will inspire you to do something that you have always been afraid to do and in the process that you will recognize how blessed we all are to live on gods green earth and partake in this wonderful journey.
